About me

Hi there!

I’m Barbara, though in Brazil, where I was born, my nickname has always been Babita. I chose to keep that name for my art, as a little nod to my childhood self and the joy of creating just for fun.

Since I was little, I’ve loved making art and sending little notes; finding small, personal ways to express joy, creativity, and gratitude. Over the years, I’ve realised I don’t just love drawing, I love creating tangible pieces you can hold, share, and use to make a space your own - in every bedroom of mine, the walls have always been covered in art, posters, and anything else that will make the space feel like me!

That’s how the Maybe Mail Club started: each month I design a curated collection of art, stickers, and paper goodies, along with a heartfelt letter for all the wonderful members who share my love of snail mail and collecting art.

I hope my art brings you as much joy as it brings me to create it.
